How fast do you respond after it snows?
It depends on your plan. Zero-tolerance sites are first on the route and serviced during and after the event to keep pavement clear. Standard-trigger sites are cleared after snowfall reaches your set depth, scheduled after priority sites. During major storms or back-to-back events, priority sites are always handled first.
What is a zero-tolerance contract?
Zero-tolerance means we aim to keep your surfaces clear and treated continuously, not just once per storm. It is built for sites where any snow or ice is a real risk, such as medical, retail, and high-traffic properties. It carries a premium because it gets top priority and proactive salting.
Do you handle salting and sanding too?
Yes. We salt and sand both the lot and the walkways. On zero-tolerance plans, treatment is proactive. On standard plans, salting is applied after plowing and is available whenever you want it.
What happens if it snows overnight or during a blizzard?
We track the forecast and start service based on your plan, so you do not have to call us at 4 a.m. Priority sites are cleared first. During blizzard or multiple-event conditions, response times can extend, and priority contracts are always serviced ahead of standard ones.
Are you insured and WCB covered?
Yes. SilverEdge carries commercial general liability insurance and keeps Workers Compensation coverage current. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Do you pile snow on-site or haul it away?
Both. By default we stack snow in designated areas on your property, which is the most economical option. When piles start taking your parking, we can relocate or haul snow off-site as an add-on.
